Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 80 minutes

Serving Size: 5

Ingredients:

2 cups whole milk (Optional: Goat’s Pride Dairy Whole Goat Milk)

6 large organic egg yolks (Coligny Creek Organic Free Range Eggs)

½ teaspoon organic cinnamon (Mother Nature’s Organic Cinnamon)

½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

½ cups granulated sugar

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup bourbon

Whipped cream

Directions:

Step 1

Combine and mix the milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract together in a small saucepan on low heat. Bring to a low boil.

Step 2

Whisk the egg yolks with the granulated sugar in a large bowl until the yolks are pale in colour. Begin adding the boiled mixture in small batches to temper the eggs. Whisk until the ingredients are fully combined.

Step 3

Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat until thick. Do not bring to a boil.

Step 4

Remove the mixture from heat and stir in bourbon and heavy cream. Refrigerate until chilled and garnish with whipped cream and cinnamon.

Try out this delicious holiday eggnog recipe with a cinnamon and bourbon twist. You can make it your own by substituting the bourbon with rum or removing the liquor altogether.  Store the eggnog in your refrigerator in an airtight container and enjoy for up to four days. Enjoy!
