BCB Honey Farm

BCB Honey was founded in 2003 by Dr. Tabari. He initially launched the company for research purposes, as the North American bee population is in steady decline, and Dr. Tabari wanted to focus on reviving the BC bee population, running thousands of hives with the intent to make BC independent from imported bees.

BCB Honey Farm was recently opened to provide consumers with packaged honey prepared at the farm. Dr. Tabari's bees also provide pollination services for a wide variety of crops, including blueberry, cranberry, raspberry, and other local crops found in BC.

Every BCB jar of honey contains only pure, unpasteurized honey, and is produced locally and harvested from ethically managed hives at Dr. Tabari's farm. They are proud to provide a natural product – minus additives and using organic practices on non-GMO crops.

Their specialty is cold-extracted raw clover honey, which is not processed, so retains all the vitamins, enzymes, and nutrients that make it beneficial to our health. They also keep the goodness of the honeycomb – the bee pollen, propolis, and royal jelly.

When summer arrives, Dr. Tabari's hives can grow to around 60,000 bees, and at peak, they reach up to 60 million bees! As they continue to receive support from the local community, BCB Honey Farm aims to keep more bees and pollinate more crops. For us, that means more delicious unpasteurized, unfiltered honey!

For more information on their farm, visit their website https://www.bcbhoneyfarm.com/ and follow them on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BCBhoney. They’ve been recently nominated for a BCFB Award, so make sure you have a chance to visit them to learn more about their process and one-of-a-kind product! They’re open daily from 9:30 AM – 6 PM.
